Sudesh, a Goddess with many names, Goddess of beauty and creation. Whatever she touches transforms in to beautiful new expressions of life. Her queendom is rich with singular creatures, some weird, some wonderful, some deadly, some hauntingly beautiful.

Each Queen of Sudesh reigns for six years, and is chosen by one hundred men who vie for the honor, even though her first act of queen must be to kill each of these men. The Queen is always at the very cusp between adolescence and womanhood for her race. During her six year reign, she has absolute power, with no checks or balances, and life in the Queendom can vary dramatically from Queen to Queen. At the end of her reign, the Queen usually retires from all public life. Some retire to other realms, some to other planes, some disappear entirely.
The realm of Sudesh is known throughout the queendoms as a risky place, one where nothing is predictable. Merchants trade in Sudesh for rarities, oddities, and singularities, because a steady and predictable source of goods is not possible there. Foods change from season to season, many never to be seen again.
Towns and cities are often interwoven with nature: living trees in particular often forming the central structure or architecture of larger buldings.
Sudesh has good relations with Buvaresh to the north, the two Queens often working together and having similar interests. But while Buvaresh is closely aligned with the Feywild, Sudesh eschews all truck with other realms, perhaps because things are strange enough as they are already!

Sudesh also borders Tzinesra, Khalri, Duumaba, although those borders are distant from the heart of Sudesh, and much of that is the wilderness that surrounds Khalri. However, Sudesh' most challenging border is that of Bagalī. Sudesh, this riot of change and creation is often at odds with the stillness, calm, and quiet of Bagalī, and if it weren't for the fact that Bagalī is more often in dire conflict with Bravari, this might be a very difficult neighbor. Even so, the great River Arrell is intentionally kept treacherous by both Queendoms, and commerce is restricted to sea-faring merchants, and some brave desert travelers from Duumaba.
Queen Lalina is in her second year as queen, and most unusually, works closely with the prior queen, now called Inzhi. Together they continue to rebuild Sudesh after the somewhat disastrous queen before both of them, now legendary for her fierce and strange tastes that did so much harm to the land. This villainous queen was Ananta, the Green Queen, who had a terrible fondness for snakes, lizards, and dragons, inviting all kinds of terrible creatures to ravage the Queendom.
