Duumaba -- Goddess of sorrow, loss, despair. But all Goddesses impart wisdom, and Duumaba's is a stark and powerful wisdom: freedom. The freedom of having lost everything you cherish, your ambitions ruined, your desires turned to rot. The freedom of being beyond all cares and concerns.

Among the Goddesses, Duumaba is unique in that she has no known association with the God Shib, lord of destruction. Perhaps because she has destruction enough all on her own. Also, it is said that in the end, when all has passed into destruction, even Shib the Destroyer, Duumaba will remain, seated on her throne of skulls, watching the lifeless stars pass over lifeless land.

And the land of Duumaba is a large stretch of desert in the rain shadow of Khalrī.

But lifeless it is not. There are many great dwarven halls beneath the rugged desert, for the mining here is second to none. There is Mandara, the commercial capital of Duumaba, a city around eleven sacred pools of clear water with dwarven roads into the depths. The finest artisans and crafts-folk in the Ten Queendoms working in stone, gems, and metals dwell here and their work is much in demand, and trade thrives between Mandara, Khalri, and Quumla.

And then, somewhere, there is the Kenku Queen and her court of scavengers. The Kenku rule this desert land, but in a rough balance with the Aarakocra of the surrounding mountains. The Kenku are the chosen ones of the Goddess, but they rely on the Aarakocra to enforce their dictates.
