The Queendoms have left the Multiverse!
Well, that's one theory.
"The Queendoms in Dura" is the 2025 "Live Campaign" in which a group of shipwrecked adventurers find their way in a dramatically changed world.
The 2024 Live Campaign ended with a bargain between the original God(dess) of the world of the Ten Queendoms. As self-proclaimed representatives of the Ten Goddesses, the party made a bargain: the Queendoms would be given a new home, and Arnas, deity of an ocean-world, would get their world back.
This bargain turned out to have some uninspected fine print.
The new "home" of the Queendoms turns out to be a dry and barren world. What were once oceans surrounding the queendoms are now (at least where the new parties land), is a rough scrubland of ruins and occasional rusted out machinery of uncertain function.
Moreover: there appears to be no direct contact with the Goddesses themselves.
Magic that might open interplanar travel does not appear to work.
This is a world some call Dura.
Players in the 2025 campaign were traveling by ship through rough and stormy seas from Bravari to Quumla. For a few minutes one day, a little before noon, the skies fell dark, and the rough seas quieted to glass. The sun was gone. Not even any special blackness where it would normally be; just the broad starry sky of night.
Although the sun returned, everyone remained on edge. The captain pushed on, making haste to reach Stormhaven in Quumla and learn what people thought of this strange and unwholeseome event. However, still a couple of days away from Quumla, a vast and awful grinding and shuddering overtook ship and sea and sky alike.
With a sensation of falling, suddenly the very waves and waters of the oceans faded from view, and the impression of falling became a very terrible reality.
The ship crashed into a rocky scrubland with hardscrabble trees, cacti, and parched earth. The ship broke apart; screaming sailors fell from rigging; many of those on deck fell to their death on massive splinters of broken ship, or the harsh, hard earth of the land.
Only a few adventurers, taking shelter in their hammocks, survived...
